As you wait for the merger to complete, please continue to use your Holdfast account as normal. We will transfer all information and funds over automatically. Your Membership number will stay the same, and the account number and sort code will also stay the same for incoming payments.
Please ensure Holdfast Credit Union have your up to date contact information, including an email address. We will need this to set up your access to the Members’ Area.
We will transfer all your Holdfast information and balances over to a ESLCU membership account. Please note, we will need to a few details before we process your first withdrawal request.
The welcome email will include instructions on how to re-set your 6 digit PIN, and log into the Members’ Area. You can also view a video on how to re-set your PIN and use the Members’ Area, Here.
You can now access our Savings & Loan Products, if you any help setting up the Members’ Area, or would like a withdrawal please call us on 03336 000690, or email us. You can also save the Members’ Area shortcut directly to your phone.
Once your Membership has moved over, you will have access to our full services. Please note we will need to confirm a few details the first time you request a withdrawal.

We offer a range of loans and savings accounts. Your savings are FSCS protected, and easy access, in all the accounts. You can use Loan Calculator sliders on our Loan pages, and Loan application, so you can see how much the interest will be before you apply.
We are currently looking at transfering all memberships over on Friday 26th September. This is subject to change, please keep an eye on both ESLCU, and Holdfast communications as the timeline is confirmed.
If you do not have a Holdfast loan, you can apply via the Members’ Area after the 26th September.
If you do have a Holdfast Loan, this will be when you are half way through your current loans repayments, you can apply for an ELSCU top-up.
Before Merger day, please contact Holdfast for withdrawal requests. After Merger day, please call ESLCU on 03336000690, Monday – Friday 9.30-4pm, or use the transfer request part of the Members Area. We will need to confirm the bank details the first time we action a withdrawal request.
Once your Membership has transferred over from Holdfast, you can apply for a Prize Saver account on our website. Please see the Prize Saver webpage for the form to complete.
Both your Membership number, and bank details for paying in will stay the same. Please continue to use the same details as before.
Your Child Benefit will continue to be paid in, and any loan repayments taken as needed. All remaining funds will be available for withdrawal via Online Banking (in the Members Area) or by calling us on 03336 000690 (Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4pm)
No, ESLCU’s standard loan is open to all our Members, regardless of their savings habit.
Yes! We encourage all our members to save while repaying any of our loans. Any funds over your loan repayment will automatically credit your easy access savings account. You can also easily make additional repayments to your loan, at no extra cost. Just give us a call on 03336 000690 to request.
