Our AGM

ESLCU is a member-driven cooperative. This means all decisions are made with the collective needs of our community in mind. You our members have the opportunity to influence the direction of the credit union through participation in our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and by voting on key issues. This collaborative approach helps us maintain transparency and accountability while providing valuable services to you our members.

AGM 2026 Overview

Our Annual General Meeting for 2026 took place earlier this week and was one of our best‑attended yet. Thank you to every member who joined us and helped shape the future of your credit union.

Members heard updates on our financial performance, community impact, governance, and plans for the year ahead. The AGM also included leadership updates and the approval of this year’s dividend.

Dividend Approved and Paid

Members approved this year’s dividend, which has now been credited to all eligible accounts:

  • £10,753 Dividend paid to members

  • £1,544 Junior Interest

  • Total: £12,297 shared back with our community

You can check your updated balance and manage your account in the Members Area.

Papers for 2026 AGM

If you were unable to attend, you can still read the full AGM papers and reports. The Annual report includes the Chair’s, Treasurer’s, and CEO’s reports, and governance updates. You can also read the annual accounts, detailing ESLCU’s financial performance over the financial year 2025/2026. If you have any questions, please email the office at office@eslcu.co.uk

Your Questions, Answered

The AGM allows members to review the credit union’s performance, ask the directors questions directly, and vote on important matters such as the annual dividend payment, and any rule changes.

All active ESLCU members are welcome to attend and participate in the AGM.

Members can vote on proposed resolutions during the Zoom meeting via a Poll on screen.

Yes, all relevant reports and materials are available for members to read on screen or download before the meeting. If you require the papers in a different format, please contact the office, via email or telephone, and we will get these prepared for you.

The AGM will held yearly, once the senior team have received the audited accounts back from our external auditors. All members are sent an invitation via email or the post.

Members can get involved by attending the AGM, volunteering for committees, and voting on key issues affecting the credit union. For more information, please email our team at office@eslcu.co.uk.
